Sorry to sound like a numskull, only got my 8100 white today. How the hell do you install apps on this thing, I USB'd this prog to my Mem stick but what the hell do i do now??

Welcome to the forums,
It won't do you any good on your SD card. You need to point your BB Browser to the OTA link and install that way. Otherwise you'll need to extract the .alx and .cod to a folder then open Desktop Manager and click on Application Loader. Then click "add" and browse to the .alx file. Finish the installation.

good morning. i just installed you color change program and it turned off the phone part only?

Did you go to Options >ColorPearl and enable the application?

yes i did. then when i went back to the home screen the wireless part was off. turned it back on and seems ok, just wondered why it would shut off my wireless side?

Here's a cool orange color I stumbled accross trying out different HEX values in the custom field: A55600

Try it out and let me know what you think.

it also makes the led indicator hang up on solid white when i get a text or email

It's pretty simple right now, all it has is enable/disable and color selection. You can set these in Options->ColorPearl.

I plan to have more options at some point, but need suggestions on what they should be. :)

Colors: White, Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Yellow, Pink, Custom (Hex RRGGBB), Random!

Another possible option would be to disable the white LED altogether. sometimes the white is off and theres just a nice little blue pearl there, but when the white light is on it kind of outshines the blue a bit. Just a thought.
