Any Performance Tips?

I just did a search for "performance tips" and didn't get anything. Are there any threads on how to improve performance on your Blackberry other than keep as much free memory as possible? Are there any special performance tricks for a Nextel 7520, OS4.1???

Dont install any themes, ringtones, wallpapers, or 3rd party applications.

once a week from the home screen hold alt and type LGLG. click the wheel and choose clear log.

Many, like myself, run their Blackberry 24/7.

I think it is good to turn it off and back on at least once a week. Make sure you have the latest destop and handheld OS isntalled

I do agree with the above poster about adding extra cr^p to your phone. The less the better.

Blackberrys OS is pretty solid and you will not have much of a problem.

if your going a long period with using a bluetooth device, then turn off the bluetooth radio. at least that will help with battery life.

This is kind of a given, but I really didn't realize just how true it was until I got myself a case.

Get a case with a magnet in it (sleeper magnet is usually what it is referred to on the cases) this will make the screen turn off the moment it touches the magnet (without any harm to the BB), I went for a while without a case, and everytime my purse would adjust and something press up against a key the screen would turn on for a while. Even though I had it on a low setting, enough of these presses really made the battery go up quicker.

Now that I have a case with a magnet on it, the battery performance is amazing. I have not charged this thing in 4 days, and it still has over 40 percent battery :D

Auto on/off really extended battery life for me too. Good stuff.
