[New Software] Quicker SMS for BlackBerry Launched
 

Good News: Now, Quicker SMS works on all kinds of BlackBerry phones.
Test on 7100, 7130, 7290, 8310, 8330, 8900 passes.

I just developed a new program for BlackBerry - Quicker SMS - which can send SMS to many friends on your PC through the connection with your BlackBerry phone, or receive new SMS from your BlackBerry.
It also supports timed SMS and import contacts from your BlackBerry. The aim of Quicker SMS is to reduce the heavy burdens of typing SMS on your BlackBerry when you work at PC. It will improve your efficiency and save your time.

Main features:

• Send SMS to many friends from your address book by one click.
• Send timed SMS to friends in later time.
• Show new received SMS on PC desktop from your BlackBerry phone when it connects with Quicker SMS PC client program.
• Forward received SMS quickly to other friends.
• Import all contacts information from your BlackBerry's address book, then you can click phone number to send SMS.
• Support ASCII and UCS-2 SMS.
• Divide long SMS into standard length and send them one by one automatically.
• Show new SMS notification dialog on BlackBerry's main screen(This feature can be used without PC client program. It likes MsgShowxxx12289;PeekaWho. When new SMS is coming, phone number, name(if phone number is in your contacts) and full SMS content will be showed in notification dialog. This function can be used without PC client program and it is FREE forever).

BTW: before using Quicker SMS on your PC, you should install BlackBerry Desktop Software(maybe you have installed).

This is a shareware.
In trial version, there are some limitations:

1. At the end of every SMS, there is some words such as "Sent out by Quicker SMS(link of my page)".
2. Only 30 contacts at most will be showed in Quicker SMS PC client.
3. Sending SMS queues, send out SMS queue, received SMS queue, contacts list each will be saved at most 10 records.
4. Delay 10 seconds before send one SMS.

Installation:

1. Download from my homepage(link in my signature.);
2. Before install, please backup your data in your phone to avoid lose;
3. Install Quicker SMS BlackBerry client on your BlackBerry phone;
4. If install is success, there will be a new Quicker SMS icon; If fail, you may need restart your BlackBerry and try again;
5. Install Quicker SMS PC client on your Windows. In fact PC Client program only one EXE file. So you can just click this file to run;
6. Connect your BlackBerry phone with PC use a USB cable;
7. Now, you may see some tip on Quicker SMS PC client program. If success, PIN of your phone will be showed on the status bar of PC client program.
8. If above connection is OK, you can enjoy Quicker SMS now
9. For convenience, you should import contacts of BlackBerry now by click "Contact" tab in PC client program.

If you find Quicker SMS is useful for you, please buy a full version with $9.95 USD(original price $14.99 USD) to help author for further development. Great piece of software and very useful. However, an OTA download would be great.

Tried the trial version. Works well. I have been waiting for one app like this having used a similar one with Nokia PcSuite earlier.

One suggestion for improvement. Bluetooth interface instead of USB. Two reasons for this request.
1)Nuisance of the wire
2)Avoid the frequent battery charges when USB wire is connected.

Hopefully not a tough ask..

Bulk / Group SMS via BlackBerry
 

A Solution for Bulk / Group SMS via Blackberry is available on Bonrix Software Systems website, It’s a web based system where user can send Bulk/Group SMS on website and then these sms are routed through your own blackberry using one pre installed mobile application in your own Blackberry. SMS Delivery can also be distributed using more than one Blackberry Handset.

CDMA and GSM BlackBerry handsets (e.g. BlackBerry 8830 8703e 8130) are supported. BlackBerry 8830 Handset with CDMA networks can deliver around 60 SMS per minute.
