OS 4.2 Desktop Software and tablet xp

I run a tablet xp laptop. And i cannot get 4.2 to install on it... Any thoughts? This happens with other software too... is there anything i can do.

It works fine on Tablet PCs - may I suggest you go to Microsoft's Download web site and get the latest version of Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1 and try that. It should help.

I reinstalled windows installer 3.1 and it says blackberry install was inturupted and nothing to my system was changed then just closes.
