mp3 playback glitches on new 9700
i'm getting glitches in mp3 playback on my new 9700. at random intervals about 4 to 6 times per 3 minute song playback seems to pause for a half-second. anyone know what could be causing that.
also noticed when i mark all prior emails read it takes about 15-20 seconds to finish whereas my 9000 took less than 2 seconds. |
check if your mp3 is broken or something wrong with the codec

mp3 is fine - all my mp3s played fine on my bold 9000 whether i played them on the device or through bluetooth audio streaming. i've determined that the audio only glitches when it plays through a bluetooth streaming device - i've tried rebooting and a couple of different bluetooth devices - still the same problem.
for the "mark all prior read" issue, i just deleted the older messages - maybe this is related to the 9000 having more memory? |

I recognized the mp3 glitch last night. What version OS are you running? I ask because I am fairly certain I did not have the glitch before upgrading from .296 to .415. My issue may be something a bit different though as it occurs very sporadically. Every once in awhile a song will do a split second skip kind of like a scratched CD. Quite strange and never happened before the upgrade nor on any version OS I installed on my 9000 over the year I had it. |
i'm on .321
this never happened on either of my 9000s or my 8310s, but now happens at least two or three times on every song when it's played through bluetooth audio streaming. it doesn't happen when i'm using the 9700's speaker. |

Oh okay, our glitches are definitely different then. Mine happen while using the speaker; I've never plugged headphones into my 9700 or used BT audio streaming. Is .321 the OS your 9700 shipped with and if not did you notice this issue with the original OS as well? |
i ended up having to reload the os after getting a jvm 102 error, and now the playback works well. have you tried reloading the os?

I'm on 442 with no issues like that.

Using .442 with no such issues. Possibly upgrade to the latest OS might fix your problem.
