Public Folder Contact Sync
 

Hi all,

Wondering if someone can shed some light I have with an issue for a customer.

I have 2 public folders setup that contain contacts. The 1st folder has 8 contacts and the 2nd has 536. I can wirelessly activate with my BES and publish the public folder with 8 contacts no problem at all. However when I try and activate with the BES and publish the public folder with 536 contacts, it fails.

Permissions to the public folders are identical for the user and BES Service account so that doesn't appear to be the issue. I have turned off any encryption in case that was causing it to hang on activation but no joy.

The activation reaches 63% and just stops, I left it for over 24 hours and it didnt budge. My guess is the server timed out whilst activating....

Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be the issue?

Anything related in the log files ? Environment ? Are you talking about activating the public contacts folder after the device is activated in the "Messaging Configuration" / Email / Contact server name ? Is the user listed in the ACL of that database ?
