unable to activate new device on existing user

hello, and happy New Year to you folks.

I am unable to activate a new device on existing user, OTA method. Tried 3 times, wiped device twice, and yet EA does not work, does not even start.

Each time when I delete the user, and create again, the old PIN appears again. Could this be an issue ?

Also, I am trying to attach device on local to BES Express 5.0.3.41 but as I am running on VMWare, I could not. BAS does not see the device attached.

Please help. Thanks

Clifford

Try to access BAS on a PC and allow the active X to be allowed.

Do you have the correct dataplan on the device?

I tried, but I cannot access BAS through web (for some reason) on a pc. Please show me how.

Yes the sim card is working fine on a previous Curve and then i receive a Registration email on the new device.

Re: unable to activate new device on existing user

Hi,

I'm experimenting the same problem.
I've the Blackberry Enterprise Server Express 5.0.4.11. I'm trying to use it with an exchange 2013 environnement...

For now, i've got only 5 users, 4 are working perfectly, but one doesn't want to. It was the first user I add into the system and I delete it for some reason.

Now when I add this user on BES it's working, but I try to associate with a device it doesn't work : whatever the device I want to associate (I try with differents devices, who works with other accounts), BES always put the first device's Pin code...

The activation mail is received on the mailbox of the user, and when the system read it (and delete it), on the device it tells me that "activation failed : please contact your administrator".

In the windows event log when I'm getting the failure message on my device, I've got an "Application Error" of BlackBerryAgent.exe.

Few second After I've got a Warning event of BlackBerry Controller who's saying : "'BESServer' agent 209: will not restart - reached the maximum of 10 restarts per 24 hours, next restart on Fri Mar 15 11:02:40 2013".

You can noticed that the agent is 209, because I try to use different BlackBerry static agent, but all the agent I use for this user stop working when I do the activation.

Is somebody have an idea of what I can check ?

Thanks !

I've just noticed something more...

I try to delete completly this user, and add him again. It doesn't work because "All users matching the search criteria have already been created. Verify the search criteria you specified and try again."

In fact the user is still existing, and I've to activate "Queued removal of BlackBerry services" criteria in the research of "Manage Users". I can delete the user from here, but I think that it is not the regular way.
