Not Receiving MMS

OK, here's my situation... unlocked at&t Bold on T-Mobile US, no Blackberry data plan, installed service books with crackutil as per directions on this forum.

I am able to send MMS messages without incident, however I am unable to receive MMS messages. Is this because I don't have a Blackberry plan? Should I try restoring and installing the service books again? Something else?

Thank you in advance for the advice.

Wirelessly posted (hope is everything!)

If you are on TMO have them add the BB enabler feature

Cool...does this cost anything?

Actually, MMS has nothing to do with a BlackBerry data plan, and isn't even "data". It's basically SMS with the ability to have an attachment.

By coincidence, a BlackBerry Technical Service Bulletin was released yesterday on just this issue. Check here.

MMS is data. It is sent through a server.

On normal phones, you can send MMS without a data plan because the SIM card is provisioned to allow access to the messaging server and nothing else. However, a BlackBerry requires special provisioning to get access to that server.

Nope it is free. Just call and ask for the Blackberry feature that allows picture messaging.
