VZW 8330 - data use in Mexico?
 

Hi guys,

My girlfriend is in Mexico for the next week, and has her Verizon 8330 in hand. She just landed in Cancun and has data access - is that right? I cannot find any definitive information anywhere about whether or not you can use Verizon data in MX.

Any help would be great. Thanks!

I'd suggest she turn off data services, because she's likely getting a feed via a VZW roaming agreement. $$$$$

Voice calls will also cost a premium but it may not be apparent to her.

i'm using an 8320 in Mexico with Telcel, although i still haven't been able to make calls yet, i can get WiFi on the internet through my home network.

I was in Cozumel a couple of weeks ago. I received messages and made calls but I called verizon and had international calling turned on before I left. I am sure it will work there but others are right, its roaming rates....ouch...........
