Newby here.. Could use my 9300 for Car SatNav?

Hi, So i'm new to blackberries, but coincidentally I bought the 9300, not long before my old satnav starts showing signs of old age.

Instead of replacing it with another, could I use a more cost effective method of using my own 9300?

How would it perform if I were to buy some kind of holder and a car charger, and use it as a satnav for getting me from point A to B? I have google maps.. but if there was something that could be reliably suggested that's more specific for car navigation I'd be happy to get it!

Or would it be better to just give in and buy a purpose-built satnav? I'm a student.. so money isn't exactly what you'd describe as in plentiful supply.

Thanks

IMHO, you would be better off getting a self contained GPS device and use the BB for phone, email, SMS.

Telmap5 is working good for me.
However, in the long run, it will be cheaper to use a standalone Navigation system if you use it more then occasionally.
