"Green Dot" Tours

Ok, I did a quick search on this, but didn't catch anything. My wife and I both got Tours on Verizon in August. We both have had intermittent trackball problems a few times in the past few weeks. I mentioned it to a business associate, who has a Tour as well.

He said that the "good" batch of Tours came later, with the trackball issue fixed, along with a sturdier battery door, and that the boxes for the newer phones have a green dot on the box.

I checked the boxes for our phones, and they don't have green dots on them. The battery doors are not loose on our phones. Anyone heard of this green dot?

Yes, the green dot (it's actually a round green sticker) is located on the box for any Tour manufactured after the trackball problems were resolved.

My date of birth for the phone is 10/2, but no green dot on the phone, and so far, no problems. My battery door fits nice and tight.

Do all after a certain date have a green dot, or only immediately after the trackball/door fix?

You're looking for the green sticker on the box, not the BlackBerry, right?

Yes, on the box, not the phone; I mistyped.
I will say what is confusing is before ordering directly from Verizon, I stopped in at the local Verizon franchise in town, and they had Tours with the green sticker on the boxes, but the date code on the box was later September. Didn't purchase from them since they wanted too much over the Verizon online price.
The one I received from Verzion had NO green sticker but had a later manufacture date. Maybe the green dot fell off, or maybe after a certain date, no green dot was required to identify corrected phones.
