Anyone having any issues this morning with internet connectivity / receiving email on TMobile? I've already tried a hard reset (pulled the battery) and re-sent the service books. Still nothing....

is there a way i/we can get alerted of these ticket issues as well? or is this a ticket u had opened

NJBlackBerry 06-24-2006 09:26 PM

We have a very large T-Mobile corporate account and someone I got on a mailing list. Doesn't generate much traffic; this is the first one like this that I've seen. I didn't open the ticket...

8700G in Michigan has worked all day.

NJBlackBerry 06-24-2006 10:00 PM

Please note that I posted the message at 720AM; I had received it overnight. It's been working fine all day.

Lost my Internet access yesterday. Couple of hard reboots, no change. "EDGE" indicator remains strong. 4.1.0.309.

Can send e-mail through BES. Can't receive e-mail nor browse the web, access Google Maps, etc.

On hold with T-Mo Now. Will update if I ever get back on the grid.

EDIT: Hunh. Note to self: cold battery-pull reboots are apparently inferior to power-cycles in resolving this sort of problem. Unless Veronica did something special on her end to reset my tower connection or whatever, powerinig down the phone and powering up again did the trick.

I'm still down in Cincinnati, OH. I'm on T-Mobile with 8700g. I got e-mail once this morning, then nothing since. I'm watching my yahoo and work e-mail pile up on my computer, but nothing on the BB.

IanHummel 06-26-2006 10:56 AM

Did a soft reset, I got some mail from my work, but nothing from Yahoo still..... This is really frustrating.

Teuton 06-26-2006 01:02 PM

I'm having a partial T-Mobile network outage. I can tell since my BB 8700g didn't receive a forwarded Yahoo email 23 hours old. My last BB email was 17 hours ago. Web-browsing is nonexistent. I think it happened again about last week. It's so typical of T-Mobile as I experienced outages with SK and SK2 in the past.

cctraderx 06-26-2006 01:08 PM

Spotty here in Houston - getting email from one yahoo account but not another. Work emails coming over also spotty.

NJBlackBerry 06-26-2006 01:21 PM

This just in....

Please be advised you may experience problems with the following:
Ticket Number: T001680014
Service(s): BlackBerry
Fault Description: Blackberry subscribers may be unable to send or receive messages, view attachments, or do 'more'
Market(s): All
Geographic Location(s): All.
The Estimated Time to Resolution is: 2 hours.

Teuton 06-26-2006 01:21 PM

Or it's RIM problem as the others with different carriers experience spotty email/internet problems, too. I just received a BB email 30 mins old.

IanHummel 06-26-2006 01:26 PM

This really sucks. :( I agree, it may be a RIM problem becuase I was reading over at Howard Forums in the RIM board that a few Rogers people are having this same issue today.... Hopefully it gets fixed soon. I'm still awaiting Yahoo e-mails and I only received my work e-mail once today after the first soft reset.

The problem is with BIS 2.0, 1.8 is working perfectly

stac 06-26-2006 01:36 PM

Cingular reports this is a problem at RIMs end...

I just spent 45 minutes waiting on hold for our cingular rep who is inundated with blackberry calls... apparently RIM is having serious issues since last evening with their services. The rep said they are working on a resolution with RIM, however, until there is a permanent fix in place, comms will be very spotty.

I pulled the battery on my Cingular 8700c while on the phone with the rep, and upon reboot, and email or two snaked through, only to have it stop delivering again shortly thereafter. His advice: hang tight.

Damnit.

All is good right now, but there will be issues after 5pm when I leave the office..... Oh well, people will just have to deal with them not being able to get a hold of me for the night.... May be kind of nice actually....
