facebook for blackberry.
 
I have the latest version but im not getting any of my notifications and it dosnt have chat? HELP please :)

Do you have a BB data plan (or bolt on as some UK telecoms call it) active on your account?

Yes i have a data plan.im just not getting any of my notifications and theres no chat? Is there one with chat ?

This issue may be caused by one of the following reasons:

The affected account is not logged in to Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones.
Notifications in the Facebook account are not configured.
The Facebook application on the BlackBerry smartphone is not configured to connect with the messages application on the BlackBerry smartphone.
The Facebook application on the BlackBerry smartphone is not configured to display Email Notifications.

Cause 1

The affected account is not logged in to Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones.

Resolution 1

Log in to Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones. For instructions, see KB14304.

Cause 2

Notifications in the Facebook account are not configured.

Resolution 2

Log in to Facebook and configure the notifications by following these steps:

Log in to Facebook using a browser on the computer.
Click Settings in the top right corner.
Click Notifications.
Verify that the correct email address is displayed.
Configure notification options as required.
Click Save Changes.

Note: A BlackBerry smartphone user has the option of setting notifications for specific Facebook items to be sent by email or SMS. If an item is not selected, notifications for that specific item are not sent to the email address or SMS number listed above the available notifications setttings.

Cause 3

The Facebook application on the BlackBerry smartphone is not configured to connect with the messages application on the BlackBerry smartphone.

Resolution 3

Log in to Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones on the BlackBerry smartphone.
Display the menu and select Options.
Select the check box beside Connect your Facebook account with: BlackBerry Message application.
Display the menu again and click Save.

Cause 4

The Facebook application on the BlackBerry smartphone is not configured to display Email Notifications.

Resolution 4

Log in to Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones on the BlackBerry smartphone.
Display the menu and select Options.
Select the check box beside Facebook notifications.
Display the menu again and click Save.

Note: Notifications for third-party applications that have been added to the Facebook account might not appear in Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones. Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones only notifies the BlackBerry smartphone user of items that are selected to be notified about to the Facebook account.

Search app world for Facebook Chat laurenandersonn. There are about 10 free ones, test em out and see which one works for you.

I have Blackberry Pearl 8110 But I can not use facebook because I am open my facebook account on my blackberry but every time my facebook account security check so I think my phone in not supported facebook account.

You need to make sure that you have an active BLACKBERRY Data Plan for your BlackBerry.

And you need to make sure that the operating system version on you BlackBerry is updated to a version that supports the Facebook application. What OS version is on the device?

After OS upgrade, when I try to the send the message any one other device but did not read the message "unable to open application. I tried to solve the problem installing this OS but I still have the same situation.

since yesterday i receive a message on the facebook application that say facebook can not handle your request please try again later with code 1503 , but when i go to m.facebook.com it works fine so it is not my internet connection , i tried to reinstall the app but still the same problem , can anyone help please:cry:

My Facebook app is gone after the last upgrade and I delete it and reinstall and reset the phone still there is no FB app

i also had a problem with the Facebook for blackberry.... i called up my operators and they guided me to delete the fb service book and they sent the new one
And now my FB is working fine!

I have the same problem with fb but my messages aren't coming through but my notifications are. I changed my bb from a 9300 (problem started on this phone) to a 9900 bold and the same occurs on this phone :(
