Sorting contacts

Hi, can someone show me how to sort contacts (ascending or descending order) in bb messenger. Thanks.

They are already sorted alphabetically... so yes. By default.

And that can't be changed.

They are always sorted Ascending. ...But they can be sorted by First or Last or Company.

From the Contacts view, go to Options and there is the option to "Sort By"

Nope, no can do.

That's the Address Book you're speaking of.
The question here is BBM contacts.

some people put smileys or some other thing in front of their name
This messes up the sort order
Go into the individual contact and highlight the profile at the top of the screen, this will then open the contacts details.
then edit the name by removing smileys and putting the contacts full name in.
Save the contact and they will then sort alphabetically.
