BB 9360 HELP, 3G problems
Hey there, 3 weeks ago I started encountering problems with my bb.After purchasing a Blackberry Tribe option(option for 100 mb of bb BIS internet) I couldn't get on the internet, so I called the customer service of my calling company, and they found a solution(don't ask me how), and suddenly my edge and 3g turned into EDGE and 3G + BB-icon, but now I thought that the problem was fixed. It appears that on 3G I only can go o the browser but applications like whatsapp , facebook and bbm do not work unless I'm connected to a WiFi network. I called the customer service again, and they are trying to fix this problem, but it's taking a little time. In the meanwhile I thought maybe someone knows another solution? Tried almost everything: resetting host routing tables a couple of times(service books), apn settings are correct(mobistar is the calling company(belgium)-> blackberry.net), tried to remove the battery a dozen of times, still no luck.

You need a BB data plan associated with your account. And you need the proper service books. Tell your carrier to add a BB data plan.

Only thing I can think of is you did not renew your BlackBerry 100MB plan. They also have another plan for 100MB, but it is NOT for BlackBerry devices. So you may want to check with them to make sure that you have the correct plan.

Hey, thanks for the quick reply. If i dial #123# I get a menu where I can check if my BB data plan is active, and there I can see that there is still 70 MB left for my BB megabytes,

Thanks, that's all I needed to know. You have not registered on the BlackBerry network, and must call your carrier (Mobistar). They have given you the wrong plan. Call them and explain.

Talked to the service, told me(for the fourth time, (Mobistar is known for a bad customer service) ) that I should wait 3 days for the technical team to solve the problem, thats all, any ideas what I could do in the meantime?(Been told for the fourth time, to wait 3 -5 days for the technical team of Mobistar to solve it, but as Mobistar has kinda of a sloppy service, it can take time(been waiting now for 3 weeks)...

It is all on their end. They need to set you up with the BlackBerry data plan. They may refer to it as the BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) data plan. Either way, you should ask to be transferred to technical team since it has been going on so long. Make sure you ask specifically for a BB or BIS dataplan.
