Latest and Greatest Carrier Themes on GSM 8800
Ok, I've gotten a few PM's about getting the above themes, so here is the process. Please note that this is an advanced process, and is fairly high level. I am not responsible if you brick your Berry:
1. Download Rogers .138 8800 package 2. Download VZW 8830 package 3. Copy the needed .cod files from the 8830 Java folder to the 8800 Java folder - net_rim_bb_media_8830_320x240_b.cod - net_rim_theme_105_zen_320x240_b.cod - net_rim_theme_107_zen_320x240_b.cod - net_rim_theme_109_zen_320x240_b.cod - net_rim_theme_104_icon_320x240_b.cod 4. Edit BlackBerry.alx so that the theme section looks like this: Code:
<!-- Theme filesets --> 6. The files should now load and you will have the above themes available Please post all questions in this thread rather than in PM. |

Thanks for doing the exploration on this dc/dc - but can you ask jibi to post his usual update to the carrier themes page to simplify this for our blackberry-challenged brethren?
Peace, Stac |
I'll PM Jibi about it.
BTW, caliagent had issues with .139 package, so I've edited to say that you need the Rogers .138 package. |
Can someone send me the 8830 software package im not able to download it wthout a verizon number.
