Android OS installed and running on a PlayBook?

I was just wondering if anyone has ever attempted to install and run Android on the PlayBook? Sorry if I sound like I'm stating a rather "blasphemous" idea, but the lack of apps on my beloved PlayBook is its (only) major sore point, imho.
