Never forget to reply to an e-mail anymore - Follow-Up 3.0 Released!

Dear Friends,

we are happy to announce that Follow-Up 3.0 for BlackBerry was released. Please get the trial at http://www.link-two.com/ota.html.

The new feature is the ability to create reminders not only in your Calendar, but also in your ToDo list.

Also, all registered users who had already bought Follow-Up - please send us an e-mail to [email address] and we will give you a free upgrade.

Thank you!

The Link2 Team

Just downloaded it. Great looking app. However, when using Tasks as my option, it doesn't seem to set a reminder so I don't get a popup. With Calendar it works fine but I really want to use Tasks. If I go into the Task that it creates, it shows "None" for "Reminder".

Do you also have a file to install using the bb desktop
manager (because OTA is disabled on our BES)?

sallyforth 05-02-2007 06:10 PM

Oh! I'll second the request for adding an automatic reminder for follow-up items set as tasks. I've given up using the task feature and am just using calendar reminders as I kept forgetting the extra step of opening the task and manually setting a reminder. :)

I don't even see how to set it up as a task follow-up...

Yep, ditto. That's an important update necessity, IMO

Dude, I didn't realize it until I read this thread. Bummer, I forgot to 'follow up' on a couple of things today.

Even without the reminder on the Tasks, this is absolutely, positively, no questions asked the BEST app I have on my BB.

JRR, any chance you fine folks over at Link2 will fix the reminder thing in the next release? Is it possible to fix?

Thanks for a great app!!! Well worth the $

Hi,

the problem itself lies in the BlackBerry API - for some strange reason, it is not trivial to set the reminder for a task, while for a calendar it is no problem :-(.

We are searching for a solution.

I guess we will have to explicitly mention that the reminders are set now just for calendar, not tasks. But anyway, we still think this is a pretty cool app :-).

What do you think?

Have a great day

P.S. We will keep searching for a possible solution.

I think its a great app also, however if it doesn't remind me to Follow Up then it really doesn't help me a lot. Hopefully there will be a solution. Thanks for looking into this. Please keep us posted of your progress.

It's a fantastic app! I use it constantly...just have to remember to go back to my calendar to delete the reminders I created and then completed otherwise my schedule begins to look panic-inducing! ;) Tasks would be great, but even without, it's a very useful little program.

I downloaded this app and it works just great :-) A question for link-two: Are there any features planned for new version of follow-up?

Can you explain what you mean by location based reminders? Does this mean that the reminder will pop up based on GPS information?

Hello,

this feature will allow you to create reminders for places on a GPS-enabled BlackBerry. So that you will be enabled to assign reminder to places, which will pop-up once you are in a specific location (or nearby).

What do you think?

Thank you!

Any luck on this or is it going to be a lost cause due to the API limitations?

Hi,

no luck so far - the API is pretty limited. We are investigating another way around this problem.

Please stay tuned!

Thank you
