You sure didn't search very hard.

There are several unlockers that sponsor this forum.

I recommend GSM PhoneSource - When Only The Best Will Do.

thank you very much.
i will buy the code from them.

they give codes only twice a month ? is there other companys that give you the code same day , instead wait 2 weeks ?
thanks again.

What are you talking about? Did you contact them?
They give you the code within 24 hours of payment.

Unlocking your Pearl

Unlocking your Pearl is easy and you don't need to pay anyone to do it. I simply called Cingular and told them that I was planning on going to Europe in two weeks. I told them I needed to be able to purchase prepaid sim cards to use in my phone because I didn't want to pay for the international roaming charges. All they needed was my IMEI number and they gave me the unlock code. It was as simple as that. They will try and tell you that they don't provide this type of service but don't take no for an answer because they do!

I hope this helps all of you save money from the rip off artists that charge people to unlock your phone.

Thanks - the original poster is using TIM, which is not Cingular, which is why he was given the advice he was. Not all carriers will unlock phones.

Uhh, be careful. Rogers used to unlock phones for $199 or $299... and in the last couple of years gave up completely on unlocking. Not all carriers unlock for free.

And to NJBlackberry, and others: GSMphonesource can't unlock some networks, especially international instantly. I'm still waiting 2 weeks to get a Rogers device unlocked. So no, you can't expect 24 hour service. Ask questions first, not later when ordering.

t-mobile just unlocked my 7105t for free.

go to t-mobile.com and send a support email with a valid reason and request an unlock. as long as you've been a good customer they will unlock your phone (my experience).

I unlocked a 7105T recently also. and prior to that my Pearl and my old 7100T. I think the TMobile policy is you have to have been with TMobile for at least 60 days and if you requested an unlock code within the last 90 days you have to wait until those 90 days have passed.

I always kind of wondered what the benefit for the carrier is to unlock a phone. Isn't their business your contract and your roaming charges? Why give that away?
