How to completely reset a black berry 8530

Hey I recently found an 8530 Curve I couldn't figure out who the owner was. So I wiped it of all the data but I'm not sure if I can just walk into a store and start a plan, or if there's a more hands on technical part that needs to be taken care of first because it was defiantly on some kind of plan when I found it. And really if I take it in and its on a plan they will think I stole it (I wouldn't know any of the current information to cancel it obviously). I'm not sure how MTS works either , it didn't have a sim card so is it like something in the phone?

All I'm asking is how I can get this black berry ready for me to put it on a plan if it was already on one from the person who must of lost it. (found in a park)

Thanks guys :) If anyone can help. (y)

Call local police department and hand it over to them as a lost and found item... See, that was easy huh?

No we aren't. We just don't support anything illegal or shady as you re trying to pull.

You should have tried harder to give it back.

Turn it in to the police or to the carrier to get it returned to the rightful owner.

I immediately put these aresclowns on Ignore. How hard is it to take the BB to a store whose name/logo is on the phone? Anyway, I don't believe for one second that the op "found" it. Definitely STOLE it himself. What a tool.

Hey, I "found" a car parked on the street in front of my house. Can you guys help me make it work so that I can use it as my own? :D

The absurdity of it all is that the OP "found" a device that he can't even use. If he wants to use MTS, there's no way to use an 8530 as it is a CDMA only device.

That explains all the light in here.....we're less underground. All these years and now somebody explains it.

By "more underground" is guess the op means "more scumbaggish". We're happy to disappoint.

People are always saying such-and-such is a better phone than a BlackBerry. Fine, I would like to know why BlackBerry phones are always "found." Re: Someone named Joseph Bernstein must have "found" my 8330 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Or he "received" it from someone else who "found" it. I know Mr. Bernstein ended up with my phone, because he went to the trouble to hijack my BoostMobile account. Sorry, Mr. Bernstein, that I eventually did get into my own account to disable it leaving you with half of the $60 you put into the account a wasted $30. People will cut themselves up to obtain a BlackBerry dishonestly. When they could not enter my apartment through the doors, they came through the kitchen window and then left blood traces on the kitchen stove and refrigerator. Let's just say, I associate this behavior with a certain drug that the U.S. Government (CIA) introduced to major U.S. cities ca. 1985 forward. Oh, and IBM laptops must be great ones, too, as the victims of this kind of drug let themselves into my front door for my IBM laptop. People, it is called thievery. Though shall not steal. Isn't that somewhere in the Ten Commandments? Mr. Bernstein, you hijacked my account. I could put your home address here, but won't. HaShem will deal with you.

A poorly written rant. Nothing more.

But the conspiracy theory and the threat of revenge sets it apart from the usual.
