My sms get deleted
Over the past couple of days my text messages are getting deleted. On the Options i have it down as keep messages forever. I have deleted alot of other applications and it says i have alot of memory so why does this keep happening?
I'm sure this has happened to alot of people but would buying a memory card help? Or wont it make any difference? |
Re: My sms get deleted
What's the File Free on the device?
And a Media Card will not "help" as it cannot be used to store SMS. |
Re: My sms get deleted
Thanks for replying. It says File Free: 4025338 Bytes at the moment.
I dont understand why they keep getting deleted. Is the BB faulty or something? |
Re: My sms get deleted
4 025 338 Bytes is a very small amount of free memory.
Anytime it gets lower than about 12 000 000, you will run the risk of having data being deleted automatically. You need to free up some memory. Read the FAQs section to see ways to increase your memory. |
Re: My sms get deleted
As M-M said above, when memory gets low, the device will start deleting things to free it up - i.e. call logs, sms, email, etc.
Move music, photos and ringtones to the SD card. Delete the apps you don't use. The FAQ she mentioned should help you. |
My sms get deleted
Thanks to both of you. I just thought getting a memory card would help but obviously i was wrong.
I will delete the apps i dont use. Thanks again  |
Re: My sms get deleted
If you are saving media (images, video, music) on your device, a memory (aka microSD or media card) will help. Get the card and move all the media from device memory to the card, and set the camera to save to the card instead of device memory.
