BB Link Not Working
 

I am in a transition from my old BB 9810 to my new BB Classic. I downloaded BB Link and BB Blend to my laptop in order to restore my 9810 backed up data to my Classic. BB Blend seems ok, but I am unable to open BB Link to set it up. I get the message "Blackberry Link has stopped working" I tried uninstalling and reinstalling BB Link and BB Blend, but it didn't solve the problem. Same message every time. Any ideas?

Something is conflicting with the setup. Possibly anti virus software or another running app. such issues are becoming more and more common. Try re-downloading LINK from Blackberry.com and run it after shutting off any apps and AV software. Remember to reboot after installing. What version of pc software are you using? BB offers windows and IOS

I'm running Windows 10. I googled the problem, and it appears that I am not alone. Apparently, BB Link is not compatible with the latest and very recent update to Windows 10. I'll give it some time and try again. Many thanks.

My PC just updated to the latest version of Win10 and Link still works.

Microsoft continues to be weird and problematic

My computer guru is coming over on Friday. Maybe he will be able to shed some light on this.

Wonderful ! The company that wants to be a software only company does not support the latest software on most computers.:-(

BlackBerry Link supports Windows XP SP3 or later, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Microsoft Outlook 2003, 2007, 2010 - 32 bit, 2010 - 64 bit, 2013
Please note that Windows 10 and Outlook 2016 are not supported

Fortunately my computer with win10 does work with Link.
So much for the Blackberry software experts.
You cannot even comment on their blog because it closed windows 10 issues months ago. Easier to close the help blog than address the problem.:x

My guru solved the problem in no time. It's not a Windows 10 problem; it's an i-Tunes problem. There are a couple of resident files in i-Tunes that continue to transfer with every i-Tunes update. He found them and renamed them, and now BB Link is working just fine with my Windows 10. An alternative to finding the problem files can be to delete i-Tunes altogether. That will fix the problem.

You reminded me that I had i-Tune issues and did delete it a while back. I did not see any LINK issues at that time because I did not check. that might explain why I have not had any issues with LINK and Windows 10.
