backing up data bbb file extension
 

Hi there, I need some really simple guidance as I'm not a techy. My Curve 9380 is corrupt and I have to send it to be repaired. I've backed up my data with Blackberry Desktop software but when I click on the file to open it up to view my data, it tells me that it has a "bbb" extension and cannot be opened.

I'm not very techy but what do I need to do to open the file on my PC?

Then, when I get me phone back, how do I transfer the data back onto my phone.

You do not open the file, you simply restore it back to the device when you receive it.

No need to open or view the files. When you get your phone back, use the Desktop Manager to restore your saved data. It's pretty easy.

As suggested, you can just simply restore the BBB backup on your new phone. However if you are interested to access the files within, you can use Blackberry Backup Extractor to extract data from the Blackberry backup.
