Sprint Issues Anyone?
Could it possibly be that I am the only BES Admin on the Sprint network currently having issues with 8830's randomly dropping from the EVDO network? I have a lot of users randomly going from 1XEV to 1x to 1xev... The fix for this is to reprovision the devices, but sometimes when I do that and ran a Diag. Report the Device has no connection to Blackberry Registration is NO, Connected to Blackberry is NO, Blackberry PIN to PIN is NO

My device will occasionally drop signal (usually at home), but I just turn the wireless off and back on and it works.
Haven't had any reports from users where we had to completely reprovision the device. |

Does that mean they are working on a fix to be released with and OS update?
|
Perhaps try another carriers 8830 OS?
|
I've seen this all week for our 8830 users. We have been going in and re-registering the device to get it back working. PITA!!!

Same here.
I've got 3 8830's doing the exact same thing. |
It's one of my questions for when Sprint comes in with the Q1/Q2 roadmap .. I'll have an answer next week hopefully.
|
Yep My 8830 has been doing the exact same thing. Not sure what's going on, but they obviously need to work the kinks out.
On a totally other non related subject, is it me or is sprints customer service numbers route to the Philippines or somewhere in Malaysia? Ugh,.. I'm about to dump them real fast, this is getting ridiculous! |
Hunter,
If you are a corporate customer, try 888-211-4727 . That's the number I call for customer support. Typically I always get the states. Sometimes I do get Calgary. |
