T-Mobile Major Outage

All 3 of my BES servers are having delivery issues, i.e. nothing is getting through. Looks like T-Mobile is experiencing a major outage right now. 8:11 PM CST 4/17/2007. Anybody else feeling this yet?

EDIT: Apparently all networks are affected as it is a RIM issue. We do have other carriers and not ONE message out of 1800 devices is going through.

NJBlackBerry 04-17-2007 08:14 PM

Oh yes... Ours cratered a little earlier. Got this e-mail from T-Mobile just now:

Please be advised you may experience problems with the following:

Market(s): All
Geographic Location(s): All.
The Estimated Time to Resolution is: 2 Hours.

Its not t-mobile, its rim

we have 2600 devices and not 1 is t-mobile

all of our servers went to SRP disconnected at 8:20pm EDT, reconnected at 9:10p - still on hold w/ t-support - and waiting for more info from 1 blackberry rep i did get by email.

so far no message flow to devices at all. regardless of carrier

we beleive its a RIM network issue

It's not just T-Mo. I'm on Cingular and I'm down as well.

richard371 04-17-2007 08:19 PM

Its all neworks. We are on Cingular same problem.

NJBlackBerry 04-17-2007 08:21 PM

I think we ascertained that it is a North America problem. One of my guys in Scotland is fine...

Inphektion 04-17-2007 08:21 PM

yep down too. let's post when we are "back up" for more than a couple minutes.

H.Nayl 04-17-2007 08:37 PM

Has anyone got through to RIM to confirm any of this?....i've been on hold for a while now...figuring i'm probably about 389,293 in the queue.

drew138 04-17-2007 08:45 PM

I can confirm that our BB's in SF, CA is down on Cingular.

Does anyone know if we need to restart BES or other services or will this just go back online?

Surprised this isn't getting more press coverage?

I'm dying to know. How big, my friend?

M|22 04-17-2007 08:53 PM

same issue here

called RIM, said everything was fine
called TMO, first OP said there was a service outage affecting everyone starting around 5 PM Pacific which is right when we lost SRP connection

TChachra 04-17-2007 08:53 PM

We all have enough stress...lets not start the rumor mill.

yes i got thru, both on the phone - they have no info other to confirm an outage. also our account rep has been in contact via email and he confirms they are having relay problems. not rumor, just an outage.

Actually, the quoted 2 hour number is their standard answer. It can stay at 2 hours for a lot longer!

TChachra 04-17-2007 08:58 PM

HAHAHA.
Isnt that the truth.
My services stopped at 8:01pm Eastern....we are now approaching 10pm.

:)
