yea, as in calendar not working. even after registering it, and looking at older log files, I'm seeing a whole bunch of problems that I'm looking at right now, relating to not being able to access the information store through the CDO, as it can't log in. it still doesn't make sense though, because 35/40 MAPI connections are working, so you know that the permissions should be ok.

at least this gives me something else to look at in the btsc.

Well I have fixed my problem with OpenMsgStore (0x8004011d) failed, it's one of three things that I have not had the time to clarify.

didn't help, but
1. i removed the rcaconcurrent limit from the default throttle policy
2. i upped the MaxUserPort regparameter to 60000 (maynot apply to win2k8)
3. The last thing I did, which i think was the fixer! disable the windows firewall in its entirety.

Also my bes is separate to my exchange server, it also runs under hyper-v from a windows 2008 r2 host. The vm for bes is windows 2008 sp2.

The fault felt as if a connection limit is being imposed on the software so my money is on the firewall!

All my bes users are fully working great now!
Hope this helps you out

My openmsgstore problem has been solved. I had been told twice by the folks that installed the exchange server that they did apply Update roll up 1 to the server. I had no reason not to believe them, but after checking the build numbers it turns out that the update actually hadn't been applied.

The update was applied to exchange over the weekend and all devices are now syncing email.

I, however, am not quite out of the woods yet. Calendar sync is not working on any device, and it seems that it has been Disabled in the BES. The log files are showing calendar=0, and in the admin website I can see all the users have calendar synchronization disabled, and I can't seem to re-enable it. Any thoughts?

Gah, ok, so somehow all of our users have had their Wireless Calendar set to disabled on the BES. Is there a way to re-enable this for all users remotely, or do I just have to tell everyone how to change it on their device?
