Quick Review of FXO and FXSFXO - Foreign Exchange Office is the port that receives the analog line from the telephone company (Telco). It is the line coming from the wall and is the Dial Tone coming from your Telco.
FXS - Foreign Exchange Subscriber is the port that delivers the analog line to the user. This port sits in the your Asterisk PBX, and provides you with a Dial Tone and an extension number. This is where you connect an ANALOG phone (your old home analog phone).
System Requirements:
  • High Speed Internet Connection.
  • An Static IP Address from your ISP (suggested but not a must)
  • An Existing Router or Switch to accept LAN connection
  • A Windows 2000 or XP Computer to use for configuring your Trixbox and your VoIP Phones.
  • Basic knowledge of the WEB, Networking and Windows. Knowing Linux is a plus, but is NOT a requirement.
Default settings are applied on this PBX system. You should ensure that you have non-conflicting ports, and have administrator rights and proper access to your internet LAN, router and firewall. A Static IP is suggested to be assigned to the Asterisk PBX for easy configuration.
Default passwords are set on the system. If you change passwords, make sure you have a way of recalling your password. We cannot support any system when you do not have your password keys.I M P O R T A N TPlease Read before you Order - Am I ready for VoIP?If you are considering VoIP deployment for your company, or are responsible for the implementation of VoIP for your company - here are some basics you need to fully be aware of and understand.
Open Source Software.Asterisk is an Open Source project released under the GPL open source license for the global Asterisk Community. It is given to the community (to you and to me and to everyone else) as an open source telephony application platform. Asterisk is maintained by the Asterisk Community. There are more than one million Asterisk-based systems in use. The members of the Asterisk community or forum work to help each other answer questions, resolve issues, fix bugs, make enhancements, and develop project all within the bounds of the Asterisk open source license. Remember, you DO NOT pay and SHOULD NOT pay for the Asterisk open source software, it is FREE and guided by the GNU General Public License.
Asterisk Installation, Configuration and Deployment.To successfully install, configure and implement Asterisk, we recommend the top 3 Asterisk Open Source releases: Elastix (v2.5 and below), Trixbox or FreePBX. You should at least have a basic knowledge of networking, firewalls, switches and routers. Although understanding of Linux is NOT a must, but a basic knowledge will help in getting you up in speed. We have seen users with zero linux knowledge yet being able to have multiple Asterisk implemented in a company. It is very critical that you understand how to properly secure your Asterisk server from the outside world. A very good resource for this is a book written by Kerry Garrision, Trixbox Made Easy, and Trixbox 2.6, Elastix without Tears by Ben Sharif, Elastix Easy by Haamed Kouhfalla, FreePBX Guide is available at the FreePBX WiKi.
Support and Training.The object of the item listed for sale is for a Computer Server, which we help to pre-install the Asterisk PBX Project, this is set with minimal working sample configurations. Installation is NOT part of this sales, nor is training included or provided. Based on experience, most users are able to install, configure and deploy Asterisk with minimal intervention. If however you feel you require some sort of support and training, we do provide paid support via Email, Chat or Premium Voice Support. A good number of Asterisk forum members provide support for free or for a fee.
VoIP Voice Quality.VOIP performance is a function of Internet Bandwidth and Latency. Both components have to be within a certain tolerance in order for VoIP to be usable.

FEDEX, UPS, DHL. Our shipping uses any of the Top 3 shipping carrier. This applies to Ground, 2nd Day, 3rd Day, or Next Day delivery. For all FREE SHIPPING items, we may use Fedex SmartPost, USPS Parcel or USPS First Class Mail. It may take a little longer to deliver destinations outside the contiguous U.S, this will include Alaska, Guam, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Saipan.

International orders may take an additional 1-4 Business Days to ship. Additional documents are required for most international orders.

If you selected the USPS Priority FLAT SMALL BOX / or the USPS Priority FLAT ENVELOPE as your shipping option, the USPS supplied box or envelope measures 5 3/8\" x 8 1/2\" X 1 3/4\" and allows weight of up to 4 Pounds, please note that in most instances, packaging may be opened or remove to fit into the USPS supplied box/envelope. Special Shipping Arrangements. We also provide special request and arrangements, if you require. Such request includes \"special protection packaging\", \"removing bulky boxes\" \"combining orders\" or \"Freight Collect\". A minimal handling fee may be collected.

Any duties, tariffs, customs or other government fees are the responsibility of the buyer. We ship everyday at 4:00 p.m. California Time (Monday to Friday). All orders received and paid and checks cleared by 10:00 a.m. are usually shipped on the same day. Majority of the items we carry are shipped via USPS, which is our preferred shipping carrier. However, if for any reason we are unable to ship via USPS, we will use UPS, Fedex, or DHL as our next shipping carrier.

ReturnsPRODUCT RETURN PROCEDURES

To return a product, the Buyer should send a message using the \'s \"Ask Seller a Question\" button to request for a Return Merchandise Authorization (\"RMA\") number within 30 days from date of purchase. We cannot accept any returns without prior authorization and without an RMA number. Once issued, RMA numbers are valid for another 14 days in which the item must be returned to us. RMA numbers will not be extended or reissued.

The Buyer should prominently display the RMA number(s) on the shipping label of boxes containing the returned product.

The Buyer is solely responsible for shipping any returned product, just as it will cost you to drive to any local store to return an item. The Buyer agrees to use a reputable carrier capable of providing proof of delivery and insurance for the entire value of the item to be returned.

The Buyer agrees that all returned products should be complete, in re-saleable condition, and will include the original packaging materials, manuals, blank warranty cards, and other accessories provided by the manufacturer. If any component of the returned product is missing including missing bar codes. We will reject the entire return or may impose additional charges for replacement cost of the missing components or items.

A 20% restocking fee will be charged on return of NON-DEFECTIVE items returned for refunds.

CLAIMS AND INSURANCE

All merchandises are packed in good order and condition when they are delivered or pick up by the shipping carrier. The risk of loss or damage to goods shall pass to buyer as soon as such goods are picked up by carrier for delivery to buyer. Buyer should therefore inspect all packages for damages before signing delivery receipt. Claims should be filed immediately with the carrier and NOT with TECH-R-US for any damages that may have incurred in transit.

Shipping insurance is usually offered at time of checkout. The Buyer is encouraged to purchase shipping insurance . Claims for loss or non-delivery of items are to be made directly with the Carrier.

Delivery of merchandise if agreed upon shall take place according to original agreement unless special circumstances prevent TECH-R-US from delivering at that previously designated item, in which case TECH-R-US shall have a reasonable period of 30 days time in which to make delivery of the item.

Buyer should be present to accept delivery. In the event that the buyer is unable to accept delivery of the purchased item, and the item is returned to TECH-R-US due to buyer?s inavailability to accept item?, a shipping fee shall be charged for shipping the item.

Prices stated in our product list does not include installation, testing, training or support, unless otherwise specified in the product listing. Our offer to support the Buyer is purely voluntary and does not constitute part of the sale.

Warranty does not cover any damage due to accidents, misuse or negligence.
