Wait until you see 10.3 and what is in the works for 10.4.
I use SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 with beta SP1 loaded on a Thinkpad T60p 64bit. Berry_Charger is built into the kernel 2.6.16.43-0.5-smp.
On the 8800, SLED mounts the media card with no issues. No only if it supported FLAC and OGG media.
