Hi guys, a few questions,

Does Orange UK's APN settings cost seperate data?
Or is it included within my monthly 250mb allowance?

Does using Opera mini use data which is not included with the monthly data bundle?

Finally, does Minimoni monitor Wifi transfers as well?

This is not a straightforward yes or no (at the moment).

Up until a month or so ago Orange users only got 6mb of data, those Orange users who used Opera Mini obviously went over this 6mb so therefore got charged extra. They would then have add on a 30mb generic data bundle for £8 which covered all their data use up to 36mb they did however have to monitor their use as 36mb was not much.

Now that the package is 250mb you will need to find out if it is for Blackberry data only or BB data and Orangeworld data (Opera mini uses orangeworld apn settings). I think it WILL cover both but you should double check this with Orange before you use it. Just ask them if the 250mb also covers you for orange world/internet use.

I do not know if mini moni monitors wifi data but I do not think so as it connects to internet via the blackberry.net gateway and is therefore monitoring this.

I have just had my latest Orange bill after swapping to the 250mb Blackberry Talk Plan.

I have always used orangeinternet APN settings and have not been billed for any data usage whatsoever.
