I just received my BlackBerry from the mail. Because I ordered it online, the phone is not really setup for anything at all. In beginning Set-up program, I was only given the option to either skip email registration or acquire via Enterprise servers, no regular email registration in sight...

Now when I'm trying to register to the Wireless Network and when I go to the Host Routing Table menu, no entries show up.

Also, does using the BB IM feature use up my text allowance?

Have you added a BlackBerry data plan to your account? Also, do you have the mobile network option enabled in the Manage Connections section?

You will need to contact T-Mobile and ask them to add the BlackBerry data plan to your account. If it has been added then it may take some time to provision to your SIM card.

It's pretty much yes or no - did you have your carrier add the BlackBerry Data Plan to your account. No Data Plan? No Service Books.

Also, BlackBerry Messenger does not use text messages. You will need a BlackBerry data plan to use it.
