I originally signed up for the "BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4.1 for Microsoft Exchange - 90 day Trial". It appears to expire shortly. Has anyone ever switched the licensing in the software from the standard BES to the Express version? Do I really have to reinstall, or can i just update the license key somehow?

Well I would get BES Express... and yes you will need to uninstall the BES software.

Once it is uninstalled then you can install the BES Express. Make sure to use the same BES server name, and you can also use the same Database.

You will need to make sure that you backup the database first, and then delete the entries from the licensekeys table. Once that is done then open up the console, put in your new perm CAL, and then change the SRP.

Any users running 4.0 will get the new SRP, anyone running older will have to re-cradle.
