Ok, so I got the latest windows live update for my curve, but I can't chat to my contacts :( does anyone know how I can?

Yeh this happend after I updated to the new version. I couldn't I'm before I updated either :S

hmmm... do you use the official Blackberry OS or not? can you chat using Yahoo Messenger?

Yeh its an official BB OS. And I can start conversations on yahoo, just not on msn for some reason :S

And for above post, I have tried a battery pull, didn't do anything.

Yeh, I use official BB OS and yahoo messenger works fine for me, I can chat to people on that, just not on messenger :/
