Default Vibrating while off

Please Login to Remove!

My wife's 9650 has started behaving weirdly. She has it set to vibrate upon receipt of an email. At night, she shuts the device off. During the night, if emails are sent to her, the device will vibrate (even though off). While it doesn't seem possible, it has happened repeatedly and woken us up. Anyone ever heard of this or have an idea how to stop?

The obvious question is, is the device really off via the off switch, or in standby mode that makes it appear off?
The other question, less obvious, is it set to Auto On? This would automatically turn the device on allowing emails to be received and for the device to vibrate.

Setting the alarm on the device will also cause it to turn back on. As mentioned prior it might not really be off, make sure you choose "full power off" when trying to turn the device off.

It is really off and not set for auto on.

Thanks for trying.

Well, now that puzzles me.. Once it's off the device should not be coming back on until someone hits the power button.

Might be more worth while to charge the BlackBerry at night and put it in Bed side mode. That might help.

I can't think of a third party app that would wake up the BlackBerry from a full power off.
