I lost my browser in this upgrade and could not get it back no matter what I did, so I had to go back to .266.

Well, really, all you lost was the icon (so did I). It is the same browser, it just goes to MEdiaNet first (as its home). Once you do a Go To..., and go to a site, you won't know the difference.
I'm not saying that this behavior is okay - that is just the way that 5.0 rolls.

Are you sure about this - you cannot use your calendar or alarm? Did you try rebooting?

I haven't loaded 5.x since it came out, I'm waiting for a version that comes out that has the default internet browser without a hack to make it work and FB and gtalk to work before I make the jump. Too many things that I need to use daily when away from the office that aren't working yet.

I'm with audit on this one. There is a combination of issues, native OS functions not working properly, and 3rd prty apps that I rely on not working either. Not to mention, 4.6 is just fine for me.
Barring a miracle, it will be a few months until I am fully on board with 5.0.

I'll load it when we get a version that can keep up with my typing.

I initially was missing the calendar file as well. I extracted the file again and chose repair OS, then reloaded my Bold. The missing files were there the second time around. My only major complaint at this point in the battery usage seems higher than 4.6.

The only .93 issue that I've noticed is that messages occasionally are not sent out. You have to resend them.
Not a big deal, just a bit of a nuisance.

After reading many people having issues, I decided to hold off on updating to 5.0, I am gonna wait until .110 is leaked before I take the plunge

I plan to say on .247 until the 5.0 is sorted out, so I will be on 4.6 for awhile.
And hotburnttoast, I would say only if you're wearing a skirt

I played with this build, but it lasted less than a day. The browser seems to be a downgrade from 4.6. It's slower and buggier, but that may be because it's the media net browser rather than internet browser. Google Talk didn't work, and neither did Facebook 1.5.
The really annoying thing is that all drop down lists in the UI are borked. The DDL's now show with a frame around them, so any page using a DDL element has some really messed up looking formatting.
Using DM 5.0, the downgrade could only be accomplished with network access interrupted. DM kept wanting to push me to AT&T's approved firmware, rather than my locally-installed 4.6.0.266.

it's an early beta. i was whining about there being nothing solid that works on 5.0, but as said, it's an early beta so it's bound to be buggy as hell. so what if we gotta wait a few more months?

I am facing a terribly bad network coverage with both of the OS 5.0 releases. As for me, I've already switched back to the 4.6 .

After nuking my Bold attempting to load 5.0...I brought it back to life by force-loading .266, and I am very happy with where I'm at. I'll be staying put until 5.0 comes out as an official build version...even if it takes months.
I've never had any problem upgrading my OS to any new beta or "official" release...until 5.0.
