Default Blackberry 90 day retention issue with calendar and opening folders.

Hi folks. I currently have a really perplexing and understanding problem for a client of mine. At first he had a tmobile blackberry 8800 running version 4.2.1.74. We are also running a blackberry enterprise server. His issue is that he sets both calendar and email retention for 90 days. The email only goes back a few weeks as well as the calendar. We proceeded to upgrade him to a Blackberry 8820 running verision 4.2.2.193, and we are having the exact same issue. Alternatively, the user can not see allof thier data when they try to view an email folder on thier unit. Some work, some done, none have all items pertaining to the folder being accessed. Now here is where it gets weird. For the heck of it, I tried using an older blackberry we had laying around (an 8700 with version 4.10.284, and what did ya know, everything came through, all 90 days worth. Sure the DST was an issue but this really confused me.

If someone here can please guide me on either making (prefererbly) the 8820, and/or both the 8800 we would be most grateful. I do know we are not running the latest version of Blackberry Enterprise Server, but we have other 8800 models running just fine with the same retention settings and version number (4.2.1.74)

I've heard that downgrading helps but would need to know if we did that would it effect GPS usage and of of course the dreaded DST issue usage. I would update the server but my superioirs do not with to do so at this time. Again, any assistance or ideas on this would be most greatful. Thank you for your attention. - Chris
