Default O2 in the UK

Please Login to Remove!

Hey, I'm trying the 8100 and 8800 scripts with my 8310 Curve. My carrier is O2 in the UK and it shows authenticating for a while, then disconnects showing:

"Could not negotiate a connection with the remote PPP server. Please varify your settings and try again."

I'm using telephone number: 'mobile.o2.co.uk'
Account name: 'mobileweb' (also tried 'faster')
Password: 'password'

Anyone got this working with O2 in the UK on Leopard?

I've seen the same problem with the Pearl when running T-Mobile's latest release of OS 4.2.

So, try pulling the battery to see if you regain the ability to connect.
I'm having this problem too. When it gets stuck, I can go to the Network Prefs on the Mac, change the Location, click apply and it seems to disconnect.

Don't know of anymore ramifications.

can anyone help me out?
i have a blackberry8820 and a macbook with osx leopard. i have called ATT but they dont have any support for mac osx so i was left to figure it out myself.
i have downloaded and installed the updated drivers. my bb is connected to my mac via bluetooth and now i am trying to tweak the setting to be able to connect.
i was told to change my bb TCP settings to:
APN: isp.cingular
Username for APN: [email address]
Password for APN: CINGULAR1

my bluetooth modem settings are:
Telephone Number: *99#
Account Name: [email address]
Password: CINGULAR1

i continue to receive the following error on my laptop when i try to connect:
Internet Connect
Could not negotiate a connection with the remote PPP server. Please verify your settings and try again.

if anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it.
thank you.

Default 8800 and mac not playing nice

I uploaded the new scripts and the computer gets stuck on authenticating. it seems to be the same problem everyone else is haveing. ATT is my carrier. This was working before with old scripts but my hard drive crashed and apple replaced it. When I did the restore off my back up the settings were no longer there so I had to start from scratch. I would gladly donate for the fix.

Default ATT BlackBerry

I was at Att Friday and the guy I usually deal with there told me, they have cut off the people that do not pay for tethering. I ended up getting a usb card with 3g speed. Its not that great in South Jersey. But it works. Oh yeah and it cost 60.00 a month for service.
