Why didn't you consider buying a unlocked on Ebay for the same or less amount? I understand the no commitment and signing a one or two year agreement (I won't do that either) but, for that you could have gotten an unlocked and then possibly sold back later for *some* money if, say you moved on or bought like the 8800?
