If its .64 then we must assume that it will be the same as the O2 version which means no autodim fixes, no keyboard unlock fixes, nothing above what the O2 version already brings to the party. NUTS!

According to T-mo and RIM it should fix the myFaves issue, where if someone on your myFaves list sends you a text message, it will now show their name instead of the number.

It will be available on their website. When you log in to your account, click on 'Support for my phone', and then 'System upgrade'.

Default OK...for us Newbies...

What does the O2 bring to the table over what Tmo currently offers. I have had the Pearl for 3 days now...so forgive my ignorance. I searched O2 and came back with a plethora of info, all of which didnt really explain. Is the current Tmo OS trim bad?

Thank in advance!

The upgrade isn't up yet, but when it is....

then choose your model Blackberry and enter your TMO phone number.

Does the O2 upgrade fix it? If not, then NO. This is the same as the O2 upgrade, except that it has the T-Mobile vendor.xml file.

Correct, as long as you are with T-mo.

OK, I've read most of the other lengthy thread on the O2 upgrade by Rogers, et al, and I've had my Pearl for 2 weeks now. Here's my big picture question: If I put it on sleep/lock when it's in my pocket then I can't affect the trackball when it rings, right? So I take it out and answer when it rings. What would I gain by upgrading to 02. Anything in your esteemed opinions?

Anyone know if .64 fixes the Pearl issue that makes users unable to delete emails on the device? I'm so fed up with the calls from users about this.

Moving the trackball to silence the ringer is a feature. Locking the phone will not keep the trackball from silencing the ringer. Updating the OS will not change this either. This is just how the phone works.
