Found this in another recent thread. This fixed my situation. Thanks all!

Problem FINALLY solved. It appears as though parts of the northeast USA on t-mobile were having some serious issues provisioning web data for the blackberries. I was speaking to a CS rep and he informed me that the problem was now fixed and that i should pull my battery, and reset the phone, and try opera and ramble again, and to my great surprise they now both function perfectly

I did that before I posted. The thing goes to 100% and then it says it failed.

Wow. The forums are super clean and easy to navigate and read with the new opera beta. Yesterday I gave a horrible review because of the feeds feature lagging, but this is pretty good, a noticeably difference in speed compared to bbrowser.

Wow. I might actually be on here with my BB!
I have to say... You were right, this browser makes the forum look super clean! I'm really impressed. (also on my bb)

Add this to the growing list of 3rd party applications that do not work on my 8100. Others, Ramble, Yak-on, BB Weather, and I am sure the list will just get longer. The problem is even though I have my TCP settings set to wap.voicestream.com none of them work. Very frustrating. Have called T-Mo and they have checked and re-checked my account, provisioning etc. They claim all is well, but I kind of doubt it.

Never going back to the built in browser.
With the feed support I don't need anything else now.
Just one more thing needed would be some option setting where you can define Opera as your default browser.

Nice, I finally got it working. It fixed itself so it must have been a network problem. Very very clean.

Here I'm trying to use Opera 3.0. Great but I'm still down for the Internet Browser better. lol. Personal preference.

Make it three. I really don't think there is a way to do this. Bummer.

Jdog - you sure you're running the version 3?

Check - settings - advanced options - applications

and make sure it says "Beta" and 3.0.

And to the Opera team: please fix/workaround the auto-capitalization feature for username fields. It's like an insane game trying to get a lowercase first letter in a username.

Hello,
I'm with Optus in Australia and was wondering what connection settings I should use for Opera as I keep getting the connection error.
Regards,

I am not sure if this was a feature in previous versions, but if you scroll the trackball Left & Right, it will Page Up & Page Down.
