i have a bb bold 9900 and pc windows 7 32 bits.
Problem i cannot make a backup with bb desktop.
When i connect the bb9900 with the computer is see not only C: and D; but two new devices G;and: .
F: for bb and G: for the smartcard.
But if i put in bb desktop to make a backup it wil run very fast and then it freeze by the note - from smartcard option1 from record 1-.
What have i done i remove the black beery desktop and dowloaded again but it still freeze.
I try to make a backup without the bb smartcard but i did not work .
What can i do now?

oke , i do what you said.
One question make a back up of the mediacard on your computer , ican do that with a cardreader.
Then i must format the sd card in the black berry.
If it is format can i put the backup back on the smart card by computer?

I have put another sd card and stil it doesn't reconized it.
I see now on the comter device G:/ blackberry and device H:/ blackberry

Ok so lets start from the beginning. If you download desktop manager and install it on your PC then when you have it running and plug in the BB it should show the BB on the system screen display. It should show the Model, pin and cell number other numbers associated with the BB. Using the menu, go to media sync and using the various menu items, see if you can see the media card. If at this point you cannot see the media card or the internal memory of the BB then you need to read the links I posted on restrictions or issues that will cause you to have this issue.
The media card should be formatted IN the blackberry. Depending on the security level ( encrypted or not) you set the media up for it should be able to be seen in a pc reader slot.
