little update.... just looked at my phone, and it keeps on toggling itself between regular call and then to headphones

so when looking at my phone, you'll literally see on the top left hand corner when you are calling someone, the 2 ways arrow and the headphone icon keep switching back and forth a few times per second.... that is what is causing the "clicking"

when i have the headphones on to call, works fine

if my phone is plugged in, works fine

lol... and when i try to dl the new software, bb.com only allows you do dl it if you have IE 5.5 or better........ are they ****ing kidding me? i haven't had shitty IE for god knows how long

rim can blow me

uhmm.. could be user error. Like you're posting this thread about your calling issues in this BlackBerry Messenger section.... just saying.

You can upgrade the device by following the very very simple instructions at the very top of the 9700 section of this forum. ;)

Follow JSanders' advice. Download and install the lastest OS from the sticky.

Also, it sounds like you dropped the device or it came in contact with moisture at some point.

Lots of people still use IE. I believe it still has the most market share out of all of the browsers available. I prefer FF as well, but not everyone does. (http://arstechnica.com/microsoft/new...owser-wars.ars)

If you have ever done a battery pull of powered off your device with a headset plugged into it, it could have created this condition. try inserting the hedset cord all the way onto the jack (with the device powered on) then removing it again. You may need to do this more than once.

Or FF with the IETab plug in... I need IE for some sites, so the FF/IETab plug in solves the issue...
