Hey all - First time poster here.

Just made the switch from iPhone to Bold 9700. I'm still learning the ins and outs of the BB world here, and I was hoping some of you vets could help me with a little issue I'm having regarding the Facebook app.

When I installed the app, I selected the option to sync my facebook friends profile pictures to their contact information in my phone. With some of my contacts, this worked perfectly... but with countless others incorrect profile pictures of other friends are displayed. Some contacts have not been synced even though their contact entry matches up perfectly with their Facebook. Has this happened to anyone else?

I've already uninstalled and reinstalled... same outcome. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Go in, and manually link them.
Only way your going to sort them.

Also, I used to find, that if a friend hadn't updated a pic in over a month, the facebook app would refuse to download it, even if it was linked correctly.

When you say manually link them, how do you mean exactly? Would the easiest way be to just edit my windows contacts on my PC and then sync?

Sorry for my ignorance here, but switching from iPhone to BB has proved a little trickier than I thought. At least I'm not swiping the screen to scroll out of habit anymore, hah.

No, go into the facebook app.
Then go to the friends "tab" as it were.
Then go down each friend, those that need linking (or changing because they are wrong for example) when highlighted on them, click menu - Link to Blackberry Contact
And it will then let you pick from your list of contacts which friend to link that facebook person to.

It does look good. Some parts are hard to read because not enough contrast between font and background, but that may be me. Only other thing right off is I don't see how to subscribe to a thread.

But otherwise it is great. Looks like search will really search. And new posts doesn't cut off after some number, whatever that number was, like the old wap site. Nine out if ten!

EDIT: I just noticed something else. When I posted this, I didn't see it. Then I refreshed the page and there it was. So, the page didn't automatically refresh when I posted?
