Unhappy Typing numbers in an email???

Please Login to Remove!

When I need to type a phone number on my 8330 Curve (Verizon) in an email, I know that I must press the ALT key first. But after I type the first number, it goes back to typing text! So when I need to type a seven digit phone number, it's a real pain in the a**, especially when typing the number 7. Is there a way to lock and unlock the ALT key to make number typing easier?

That's what I thought, until earlier today when it didn't appear to work for me. After reading this I tried again, and no luck. Then I discovered that it only works (for me) using the LEFT caps key.

Definitely check out Stinsonddog's tips for the 8300:

It covers this any many other very useful tidbits including shortcuts.
