Default Problem after upgrading to 4.5

Please Login to Remove!

8310 with ATT, BES. Upgraded to 4.5.

The application data is all lost (corrupted in some way and forced me to upgrade). Phone is working.

The problem is that there is no data service, incl. browser and email. Setup wizard only have option for enterprise server. I don't have the password for Enterprise Activation. How could I at least get browser working? I am away from office and it will be a while b4 I get back in office. If I can get browser working, it's at least better than nothing.

Thanks!

Which version did you load? .52? .55? Unfortunatly, there have been issues with some ATT handsets NOT getting a browser after the update. Once you activate on your BES you'll get a "Blackberry Browser."

It's 4.5.0.37

The browser configuration is empty. I am thinking this is an service book issue. So I tried to get AT&T to resend one.

I started with an 8100 and then switched to 8310 soon after. On AT&T account, it still shows the old PIN. I can't change to the new one as it will say:

The information you provided can not be verified.

How could let AT&T do it?

thanks!

Log onto your bis account and send yourself service books. Use the Change Device button if you need to change your PIN and IMEI to match your new 8310

You do not need ATT to do this you can di it yourself!

Go here: BlackBerry Internet Service

Can't change device but I can create a new account. And request to resend service book. How can I tell if the service book is received on the device?

Browser does exist, just no icon in the main menu. How can I add it?

Clicking on a link in the email launches the browser, but it gets:

You device does not currently have any browser configuration service book entries. Please contact your service provider to enable the browser on you device.

In advanced settings, I can see:

Browser Config for 5 Click
WAP2 BrowserConfig
WAP2 Transport
Wap Push Config

However, in settings -> Browser, Default browser configuration is empty.

Is this due to restriction of BES IT policy?

When you send youself service books, the website indicates that the service books were sent and you, within seconds get a message on your device that they were received.

You say you can't use the change device option. Why not. What error does it give you?

When you create a new account and put your PIN number and IMEI number in the areas provided, does it accept it?

So you are saying that when using the change device option on your BIS and inserting your PIN and IMEI, you are getting this error message?

Something is wrong. I have done this many times and it either comes back and say that the change was sucessful or failed.

You need to call you carrier and ask for Blackberry support.
