What's up people? I just upgraded from a pearl to the new bold and have a few questions/complaints.

First problem, this phone seems slower than my 2 year old pearl. When I go to the "go to" page on the broswer and search through bing, it takes forever if it works, usually it times out and I have to go through google. Is there a way to change the default from bing to google?

Second, I really hate having to zoom in every time a new page comes up. I didn't have to do that with the pearl. Is there a way to change that?

Third, I'm a moderator on a motorcycle forum on delphi and I've been using mini opera on my pearl but with the bold the cursor is lighting fast and to the point its uncontrollable. Is there a fix for that or a different way for me to post and read on delphi?

Fourth, the net on the bold is a lot slower than on my pearl. Why? My pearl was a little over two years old.

I would of liked to have bought another pearl but either blackberry quit makin them or my verizon store doesn't carry them.

Oh, one more thing, I noticed when I plug in the charger, there is no icon next to the battery bars indicating that it is charging. Should there be one.

Make sure you are using one of the more current OS systems. Opera is a problem for many touchpad devices.
For the Forums you may want to check out Bolt Browser. I am not a big Berry Blab fan but check them out as it may help you with your site.

As far as the cursor being too fast, navigate to Options-> Screen/keyboard and adjust your vertical and horizontal sensitivity. I too found the trackpad to be extremely sensitive as compared to the track ball of my 8310 and 3100. I think that I currently have my sensitivity somewhere in the range of 60/60.

Maybe you're currently using a 2G network.
Try switching it to 3G.

Status > Mobile Network > Network Mode > 2G / 3G / 3G & 2G

Which Bold do you have? It really helps to know the model number rather than the name.
