A new battery from an OEM supplier will be recognized instantly by your Torch.

A regular install of the OS onto your OS prior to installing it onto your BlackBerry is fine. Just remember to delete the vendor.XML file.

Hello again guys...

Well I received new OEM battery and the good news are that the phone is working, the bad news are that I receive Error message:

"Error 507 Reload Software".

I think I wiped it after all

The problem is that I don't know what software to download to reload it.

I don't know to which carrier the device belongs because I bought it in a private store.

Isn't there a generic software for the Torch ? Without carrier dependency ?

Look at the top of the forum you created this thread in. There are instructions for downloading / installing device software. Make sure you choose the proper model.

The link looks like this "Attention: Latest OS: 9800 6.0.0.2647/6.0.0.600 (All Languages)"

Yeah I saw it.

But I see that it's only for AT&T and Vodafone customers and I'm non one of these.

I'm outside of US.

This release will work on any carrier's device by following the directions below.

That's one of the cool features of BlackBerrys - they're carrier-agnostic. You can use the OS for your model from any carrier, so long as that you remember the step to delete the vendor.xml file.
