I don't know if its the card or not? I guess the only way of knowing is to replace the card.

maybe I'll try sticking another card in and see if that's the issue...I had this card in and it didn't start the problem until the upgrade.

I usually delete all the dat index files, pull battery and wait for it to index. More pics means more time to index.

using a class 2 32 gig Sandisk card with out issue.

Congrats ... I guess Malaysia finally got the Torch. I had my AT&T one when I was visiting Malaysia. I think back in October, they had the anticipated rollout for it.

Why do they ask for so much information to download the updates? Has this update interfered with tethering to a laptop for anyone?

A little more specific...AT&T blocks tethering IF you do not have a tethering plan on your account. I tether with my Torch without any issues.

I have an ATT torch on Tmobile. I cannot tether with DM. It sees the 102 vendor code and the option is blocked in DM--doesnt even show up. Do you use DM to tether? Do you have an added service book for that? If so, can you make a backup of it?

Yet a little more specific...AT&T blocks tethering using DM IF you do not have a tethering plan on your account. You can tether following the instructions in the FAQ. Interesting thing is DM creates the DUN entry when it is installed but it has the wrong number. Change that, configure the modem, and good to go.

Will that method work for TMO if you use their DUN/modem settings?

Yes, it can be done manually. I'm well aware of how to do that. I'd just like to find a way to get around the block.

The only battery pulls I've had to do lately were due to the new Facebook app. It would lock up the phone.

I don't have tethering on my account (AT&T user) and I'm able to tether with this OS just fine.

I haven't noticed any of the other issues mentioned in this thread either.

Download AT&T Connection Manager from their site. It is what I use for tethering. If you are looking for a way to tether without paying for it then you should probably look elsewhere...piratebay maybe?

You need to read and understand before posting and making accusations.

So, before you try and send me to "Piratebay"...READ UP!

I am on TMobile. Tethering is INCLUDED. FREE. I am not trying to get anything I don't pay for.

I already have the app "Tether." It works great with my Torch.

I have an ATT Torch that DM thinks I shouldn't be able to tether with due to it's vendor code. Oh wait...I have a TMobile sim in the device! I can tether all day long! I'd like to find a way around DM blocking it even though my TMobile sim is in the device. That's all.

Next time do your homework before making your derogatory comments.

Thank you.

Suggesting you go to ThePirateBay isn't derogetory. Calling you a "xxxxing idiot" would be.

If Desktop Manager is taking the device ID, you can't do much about it I would think. T-Mobile SIM in an AT&T phone just means it's unlocked and can be used with any carrier, but that ID still gives it a "home" to where it technically belongs.

Cooper, maybe you need to scroll and read more of the exchange with Pyro. He was making some assumptions (such as "If you are looking for a way to tether without paying for it"). Assuming John Clark is trying to steal something is like accusing Capone of trying to be "too honest".

I don't need to defend John Clark. He is well-versed on BlackBerrys and what is and ain't. And, you don't need to jump in where you really haven't read all the posts.

I suppose if your profile listed your actual carrier versus "aircraft" then it would be obvious you are not on AT&T.
