Hey guys, I'm sure that there are a lot of threads on here about this subject, but I'd like to get you thoughts on my particular situation.

My phone got damp over 36 hours ago and would not turn on at all. It dried out a little bit but would only boot up to about 30% of the progress bar before turning off. Now the progress bar reaches about 70% but always freezes and then restarts. Does that sound like irreparable hardware damage? It fully turned on once but I haven't been able to get it to do that again.

I've been using the rice trick and doing my best to dry the phone out. Any help would be really appreciated - I just bought this phone and I simply cannot afford another one. Thank you in advance.

So I was able to connect my BB to loader and start the process for wiping and reloading the OS.

Things went well until the BB started getting the new OS loaded on. After displaying the white screen with the connection icon for a few seconds and beginning the file transfer, my PC said that it could not connect.

Now I have no OS and error 507. Help?

507 = no device software.

Try again to load the device software (aka the OS).

Don't use a USB hub, keyboard USB, monitor USB, etc. Use a port on the back of the box, if possible. If you are using a laptop and continue to have trouble, try using a desktop model.
