Default Blackberry® Curve 8300 (Refurb)

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone have any luck purchasing one of these refurbised 8300's from AT&T for $29.99 from their online store? AT&T is currently out of stock for this offer, but this looks like a solid deal for anyone interested in upgrading.

Details:

2-Year Service

Base Price $349.99
Refurb Discount - $320.00

Online Price* $29.99

Price after discounts/mail-in rebates

I don't personally like refurbs and with new 8310s only 99.99 after rebates I'd go that route!

I work for att and have to be honest have seen more problems with refurbs than I can count.

The whole refurb process starts in the store when phones get returned if the rep doesn't label and process device properly then the end user may end up with a truly bum device.

I guess I got lucky, I got 1 last week. Not only was it $29.99 but the next screen said there was an instant $25 web rebate! End cost $4.99! It has the same warranty as new in the box with a 30 day refund option. Why not! So far it's flawless.

I got a new (my first) BB Curve about 2 weeks ago from AT&T for $29. Works perfectly!

I think it is a fair offer since you have a 1 year warranty. And if you have AT&T, if you exchange the device more than 3 times, the send you a different make or model. Thats what I did with my pearl because of a bad ear peice, and I got a Curve 8310 in the mail for no charge.

So again, most of your problems are covered in the warranty, so any dilemma can be overcome by a simple exchange.

If they are branded AT&T 8700c's or 8310's they will need an unlock...Plus part of the low price is that they will get a 2 yr. contract...

Per Customer Care and the Business Data Department they have a 1 year warranty. I am attempting to get that in writing as there is no mention of warranty one way or the other in materials that came in the box.

Thats what Customer Care and the Business Data Department told me also.

I have had my Curve 8300 since November when AT&T first had the 29.99 upgrade, and has worked fine.

I just talked to business Customer Care again and they reiterated a 1 year warranty regardless of what the web says. I know they often make mistakes but I had her email email verification that I had a 1 year warranty and she even quoted the IMEI so even if she is mistaken I'm sure they will honor that.
PS Regarding AT&T selling 30 day returns, I have worked AT&T retail for 13 years and virtually everyone is fully aware that 90%+ of what they take back there is nothing wrong with and they are just trying to appease the customer by doing so.

Just got my 8300 refurb in the mail today. Looks brand new and is working great. I had to pay 50$ though, but still worth the money.

Hi...

We get them at work and they are usually fine. I have gotten great service out of them and they do have a warranty.

Good luck...

H.
