I have downloaded ringtones for my z10 and it seems they can only go into the music folder which means when I play music on shuffle the ringtones play too - what am I doing wrong?

You aren't doing anything wrong.
Hopefully this is another bug that will get fixed.
Inconvenient but minor compare to some others.

I've had that happen with podcasts too. MP3 <> music.

A work around is to create a play list and add you music to it. You can then shuffle your play list. Not ideal when you should be able to just play all your music.

Nope - y'all be wrong!

Go to the file structure using file manager or even a USB connection on a computer...and create a folder called whatever you want. You can move your downloaded ringtones there and use them from there as well. I did it 1st day and it works perfectly till this day. I can listen to MP3's without ringtones as I wish.

I did that too (I think) - when you try to assign a ringtone to a contact are they all combined together or can you see the lists?
